MSF-R3 Mentor Program & Ladies Racers Search 2019

MSF and PROTON R3 have teamed up to organise two exciting programs for MSF racers in 2019:

MSF-R3 Mentor Program 2019

5 drivers / teams will be chosen to be taken under the wing of PROTON R3 for the remaining MSF races of 2019. This does not cover any financial support, but provides a more valuable and priceless resources: motor-racing set up, technical, and driver development support. For the remaining of 3 rounds of MSF Racing Series 2019, the program for the 5 lucky teams will include:
• classroom theory session on advanced race driving, discipline, and development
• tour of the R3 facility, with a briefing on top-level racing car build, preparation, set up, and maintenance
• driver training for advance car control skills
• karting activities for wheel-to-wheel dogfight training
• Pit spot in the PROTON R3 pit at MSF SuperTurismo for the remaining 3 rounds, with race support by PROTON R3 technicians

Obviously, to be chosen for this program, a racing team / driver must be participating in MSF SuperTurismo in a PROTON car. However, it can be in any category. Example: Saga in Saga Cup, or Saga BLM in Street 1600, or Satria Neo in 1600 Ultimate, or Gen2 in PROTON 1800, or a Wira in Street 2000, etc

MSF-R3 Ladies Racers Search 2019

This program is to search for a race-winning capable team of lady racing drivers for Team PROTON R3 in the Sepang 1000KM race 2019.

When PROTON R3 go racing, they don’t race for fun: they race to Win. The final selected ladies will undergo rigorous and comprehensive training in the PROTON R3 factory racing cars with an aim to be on the Winner’s Podium of the Sepang 1000KM race that will take place from 22 – 24 November 2019.

A batch of ladies will be chosen from an initial social media contest to undergo a training and selection process which will include:
• classroom theory session on advanced race driving, discipline, and development
• tour of the R3 facility, with a briefing on top-level racing car build, preparation, set up, and maintenance
• driver training for advance car control skills
• karting activities for wheel-to-wheel dogfight training
• testing the PROTON R3 racing cars at Sepang Circuit

The final selection will see 3 of the best lady racers in Malaysia be take part in the Sepang 1000KM with PROTON R3 in the factory PROTON R3 Iriz race car.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
• Interested participants are required to create a video, upload a photo, or create a post on either Facebook and / or Instagram giving reasons why they should be chosen to be part of the program: tell us and convince us why you should be chosen to be in the program!
There is no limit to how many posts / photos / videos may be published on these social media platforms in order to convince the judges.
• All posts / photos / videos must be accompanied by the following identifying hashtags:

• The Social Media Contest will run from 6 August 2019 until 13 August 2019; all posts MUST be uploaded before 10:00 pm on 13 August 2019.
• No product purchase or entry fee is required.
• Selected winners for both programs will be informed on 14 August 2019.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
This Contest is open to Malaysian citizens only, who are participating racing drivers in MSF Racing Series in 2019. Participants must be healthy, fit and of sound mind. Employees of MSF RACING including its group of companies, MSF RACING vendors and agencies are not allowed to participate in this Contest.
Participants must have been consistent participants in the MSF Racing Series over 2018 and 2019.
For the MSF-R3 Mentor program, the contest is only open to participants that race PROTON brand cars in MSF Racing Series; participants may come from any category within the MSF Racing Series, as long as they are racing a PROTON branded car.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Prior to participating in the “MSF-R3 Mentor Program” and “MSF-R3 Ladies Racers Search” (the “Contest”), it is advisable for you to take a couple of minutes to read the following terms and conditions and ensure that you are completely aware of the terms and conditions. They are unconditionally and irrevocably binding on all participants.

The “MSF-R3 Mentor Program” and “MSF-R3 Ladies Racers Search” are organised by Matrix Motorsports Promotion Sdn Bhd (508407-T) under the motor-racing event brand name known as “MSF RACING” and supported by the PROTON R3 racing team. The Contest is organised to filter and select a unique bunch of individuals for the following programs:
MSF-R3 Mentor Program 2019 – a program for 2019 where 5 drivers / cars / teams will be privy to motor-racing set up, technical, and driver development support by MSF Racing and PROTON R3 for the remaining 3 rounds of MSF Racing for the year 2019.
MSF-R3 Ladies Racers Search – a program for 2019 where lady drivers who have participated in MSF Racing in the past 2 years (2018 & 2019) will be eligible to participate in the training courses and driver selection process, where 3 drivers will be selected to drive for the PROTON R3 team in the Sepang 1000KM race 2019. Should any of the winners decline to participate in the race for whatever reason, the invitation will fall onto the next placed participant.
By participating in this Contest, participants shall be deemed an unconditional and irrevocable acceptance of these terms and conditions as stated herein. Failure by MSF RACING to enforce any of these terms and conditions in any instances will not give rise to any claim by any person.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
This Contest is open to Malaysian citizens only, who are participating racing drivers in MSF Racing Series in 2019. Participants must be healthy, fit and of sound mind. Employees of MSF RACING including its group of companies, MSF RACING vendors and agencies are not allowed to participate in this Contest.
Participants must have been consistent participants in the MSF Racing Series over 2018 and 2019.
For the MSF-R3 Mentor program, the contest is only open to participants that race PROTON brand cars in MSF Racing Series; participants may come from any category within the MSF Racing Series, as long as they are racing a PROTON branded car.
MSF RACING reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries, and the identity and eligibility of participants. Participants must provide such evidence as required for verification purposes.
MSF RACING may at any time exclude or disqualify an invalid entry or all entries of any participant who is ineligible or who breaches these terms and conditions or fails to provide evidence satisfactory to MSF RACING to verify their identity or eligibility.

CONTEST DURATION
• The Social Media Contest will run from 6 August 2019 until 13 August 2019.
• MSF RACING reserves the right to shorten or extend the Contest period for any reasons whatsoever. In the event of such occurrence, MSF RACING may notify participants accordingly via its official channels; MSF Racing’s website, www.msfracing.com or its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/msfracingseries or Instagram@msfracing.

JUDGING AND SELECTION
The Contest Committee will make their final selection of participants for each program based on the following:
• Quality of content and popularity of the posts / photos / videos on social media
• History of results and participation in MSF Racing Series over 2018 and 2019

The qualified participants will be contacted (via telephone and email) and informed that they have earned a participation in the programs and that they are invited to the next activity on a specified date to participate in the program.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
• Any costs associated with participating in the Contest is the participants’ responsibility. Any costs incurred in receiving, collecting or participating in the programs are the Participants’ responsibility, including travel, accommodation, and tax liability; unless otherwise communicated.
• There is no fee payable to the participants in respect of involvement in this Contest or the programs.
• There is no cash prize and no prize value for the contest or the programs.
• MSF RACING reserves the right to assess, use and disregard any submitted pre-qualification Facebook or Instagram posts / photos / videos.
• Facebook or Instagram posts / photos / videos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including profanity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of Malaysian culture, are strictly prohibited and will be discarded.
• MSF RACING will not be held liable, in the event of any loss, damage, non-receipt of entries or delayed receipt of entries submitted by participants including but not limited to network transmission failure, network interruption or outage and inability to use or delay to access of the internet for the purpose of this Contest.
• The Participants agree to discharge and release MSF RACING from any liabilities and claims (including from breach of contract, tort, negligence or any other cause of actions at law or equity) arising out of or in any way connected to this Contest or the participant’s entry in this Contest.
• Without prejudice, save where otherwise prohibited by law, in no event shall MSF RACING be liable to any party including the participants for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, punitive or special damages, including lost profits, howsoever remote even if such losses were foreseeable or if MSF RACING were advised of the possibility of such damages
• By participating in this Contest, the participants agree to indemnify and hold MSF RACING and its officers, directors, shareholders, predecessors, successors in title, employees, agents and representatives harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (including any legal fees), suffered or incurred by MSF RACING due to or in any way arising from this Contest.
• These terms and conditions are not intended to create any rights, entitlements, claims or benefits enforceable by any person that is not a party to them. Accordingly, no person shall derive any benefit or have any rights, entitlement or claim in relation to this Contest.
• MSF RACING is entitled to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest at its sole and absolute discretion and shall accept no responsibility for any loss caused as a result of the same.
• By entering this Contest, the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated herein and the decision of MSF RACING as the organiser and/or panel of expert judges. Notwithstanding anything herein any decision by MSF RACING and/or panel of expert judges shall be final and binding, correspondence or communication will not be entertained.
• Employees of MSF RACING including its group of companies, MSF RACING vendors and agencies are not eligible to enter this Contest.
• MSF RACING reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these terms and conditions without prior notice at any time at its sole and absolute discretion and participants agree to be bound to any such changes.
• This Contest and the Terms and Conditions herein shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of any disputes, controversies or claims arising out of or in relation to this Contest, the participants agree that the courts of Malaysia in Shah Alam shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes, controversies or claims arising out of from this Contest, and waive any objection on the ground of venue or forum non-conveniens.
• Except as otherwise indicated in these terms and conditions, the term “MSF RACING” also includes all affiliates of MSF RACING. “Affiliates” means any person, partnership, joint venture, corporation or other form of enterprise, domestic or foreign, including but not limited to parent company, subsidiaries or branch, at the time of entering into this Contest.
• The Malay translation of the terms and conditions of this Contest is provided for reference purposes only. In the event that the Malay language version is conflicting with the English language version, the English language version shall prevail.

COPYRIGHT, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AND PUBLICITY
• The participants agree that by participating in this Contest, the ownership and usage of all information and documents related to the entry and inclusive of in the form of descriptive writing/slogans, photographs, video and/or CD filming, digital images, drawings, financial, marketing, economics, commercial and publicity shall be owned by MSF RACING.
• The participants hereby declare and undertake with MSF RACING that the ownership, authenticity of all the information, ideas and material submitted for this Contest are the genuine products and ideas from the participants and MSF RACING shall not be liable for any claim by third parties due to misleading information made by the participants.
• The participants agree that by entering this Contest, MSF RACING shall be entitled to use and own any strategic reports, information on territories of distribution, corporate and product information and all copies, reproductions, reprints and translations thereof, supplied and owned by any of the entries submitted in this contest as materials for the purpose of advertising, trade and/or publicity, without any prior notice or approval of the participants.
• The entries submitted by the participants pursuant to this Contest shall be owned by MSF RACING and MSF RACING shall have the right to deal with such entries in any manner whatsoever that it deems fit without any payment or compensation to be made to the participants.
• By participating in this Contest, winners have granted MSF RACING the right to use the name, descriptive writing/slogans of the cars/winners as materials for the purpose of advertising, trade and/or publicity, without any prior notice to the winners and the winners shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation on such use.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2010 (“PDPA”)
• The participants of this Contest agree and give consent for MSF RACING to use their personal particulars in compliance with the PDPA.

NOTIFICATION
• All up-to-date information, progress, requirements and results will be made available on MSF Racing’s website, www.msfracing.com or its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/msfracingseries or Instagram@msfracing.
• MSF RACING will notify the winners at a pre-determined time, after the Contest deadline.
