A) PADDOCK & PADDOCK CLUB AREA (Saturday and Sunday from 12pm – 10pm)
i) Precision Driving Challenge
– Test your skills against the clock in this short, simple but challenging timed autocross course in a Proton Saga
– To qualify, please show receipt of any purchase from the PROTON Merchandise booth
– Top-3 fastest times will win MSF & R3 merchandise
ii) Water Park & Bouncy Castles
– Yes, a 25ft inflatible Water Park and 20ft Bouncy Castle for the kids (and adults if they so wish!)
iii) Food Truck & Merchandise Bazaar
– featuring 10 popular kitchens on wheels
– including trade booths selling motorsports parts and apparel
iv) Car Club Gallery
– presenting some of the most interesting modified cars tastefully crafted by their owners
– supported by Retro Havoc, Motor Maniac, and Biadap
v) PROTON Car Clubs Gatherings
– Various PROTON car clubs have been invited to gather at the event
– Saturday will see a mix of several PROTON clubs of up to 200 cars
– Sunday will feature 300 original PROTON Saga club members gathering in support of the MSF Saga Cup Merdeka Enduro race in the evening
vi) PROTON Vehicle Inspection by PROTON After Sales
– Have your PROTON car inspected for FREE by trained PROTON technicians
vii) Test Drive PROTON cars
– Come and test drive PROTON cars at the event
– Full range of PROTON vehicles will be available for you to experience on the roads around Sepang
viii) Meet & Greet with PROTON R3 Drivers
– Come and have a chat and listen to the top PROTON R3 racing drivers such as 2002 FIA Production Car World Rally Championship driver Karamjit Singh, and 2009 Japan Super Taikyu Champion and 2018 Sepang 1000 KM Champion Fariqe Hairuman
– Also on hand PROTON R3 drivers James Veerapan and Leona Chin
ix) PROTON Technology display
– The best of PROTON’s automotive technology will be on display at the Paddock Club
x) HOT WHEELS and Giant UNO Stack
– HOT WHEELS exhibition, track, and sales booth for collectors & kids (and those who are kids at heart!)
B) CIRCUIT ACTIVITIES (Saturday Only 1pm – 10pm)
i) Sepang Driving Experience with PROTON
– If you’ve never experienced driving on Sepang F1 Circuit before, this is the chance: PROTON will be providing the opportunity to drive PROTON vehicles for a sight-seeing lap around the world-famous circuit to customers that place new vehicle purchase bookings during this event!
– limited to first 120 families
ii) PROTON R3 racing taxi ride
– full blast full speed lap experience in race-winning PROTON R3 machines with the official PROTON R3 team drivers!
– this really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed by enthusiasts. To qualify one needs only to purchase a minimum of RM 150 of R3 merchandise during the event
– limited to first 70 pax only
iii) PROTON ADAS demonstrations
– Demonstration runs of how the critical active safety PROTON ADAS safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) works
– Also demonstrations of the Auto Park Assist feature in the PROTON X50
iv) 2-wheel lap record of Sepang F1 Circuit
– at 8pm on Saturday 27 Aug will witness the setting of a new record of Sepang F1 Circuit by a PROTON Saga: a never done before 2-wheeled lap of the full 5.53 KM Sepang F1 Circuit by MSF stunt driver Faidzal Alang
– The Malaysia Book of Records will be on hand to certify the record
C) MSF Merdeka Race 2022 (Sunday only)
The MSF Merdeka Race runs a series of 1.5 hour endurance races in a special round of the Malaysia Speed Festival Racing Series that takes place annually during Merdeka weekend. Over 150 cars take part in this spectacular race which sees various racing cars from original classic PROTON Saga to World Touring Car Series SEAT Cupra taking part. Racing kicks off with MSF Superbikes racing at 1:00 pm and then the car races taking place from 2:30 pm. The popular and anchor race MSF Saga Cup Enduro flags off at 4:45 pm.
